Final boulder shipment for Maavah harbor reaches project site

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Monday confirms final shipment of the rock boulders for Laamu atoll Maavah harbor project arrives to project site.
Moreover, MTCC informs the design and build of the harbor project will observe a 60 day work period, upon which it will come to conclusion on the 60th day.
The project entails dredging and excavation of 26,885 cubic meters and construction of a 284 meter breakwater.
Furthermore, revetment of 40 meters and a 110 meter of quay-wall is under project components.
Additionally, MTCC will construct a paved area spanning 550 square meters.
MTCC confirm project value at MVR27.3 million, mobilization taking place on 7 April.
Earlier, the contractor gave update on its project progress across Maldives during quarterly report.
In it, MTCC mentions undertaking of over 60 various projects in various parts of the country.
