President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has expressed hope that the international payment system, PayPal’s full services will be available in the Maldives in the near future.
Speaking on the serial podcast, Spot On, President Muizzu said the efforts to bring PayPal to the Maldives have seen significant progress. Therefore, he is optimistic that PayPal’s money receiving services will be available in the Maldives soon, he said.
"We are very optimistic, so let's keep hoping [for the desired outcome]," he said.
Facilitating the availability of currently unavailable PayPal services in the Maldives is a presidential pledge of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu. Although money-sending feature of PayPal is already available in the Maldives, the money-receiving feature is not yet available.
