Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) says the Party has paid off MVR 2.5 million to debtors.
DRP Leader Mohamed Nasheed (Colonel) today said the Party has paid off MVR 2.5 million to their debtors. He added the Party was still MVR 6 million in debt and that the Party will pay off that amount within this year.
Details of the debtors were not revealed. The Party added the funds to pay off the debts were from contributions made by a donor.
DRP was ordered to pay back their debts by Court previously. MTCC and Maldivian are among the debtors of the Party. \
