Police have arrested a 53-year-old man accused of breaking into a shop in Male' city by removing tin roof tiles.  
According to the Criminal Court’s remand order, the suspect allegedly robbed Bazaar Trading, also known as Alif Atoll shop, located on Boduthakurufaanu Magu. He faces charges of theft, property damage, and trespassing.  
The arrest warrant states that the man damaged the shop roof, entered the premises, and was later seen on CCTV carrying stolen goods in a sack.  
At his remand hearing, the suspect claimed he would be arrested regardless of his statement. The court clarified that remand hearings are based on evidence presented.  
The man has been remanded in custody for 10 days. Records indicate he has been involved in previous burglaries.
