Two expatriates have sustained burn injuries from an explosion that occurred on a boat docked near Maalhos in North Ari atoll.
In a message shared with the media, Police said that they received news of the incident at 2045 hrs on Saturday evening. 
They also reported that the two injured foreigners are now being prepared to be taken to Male city for further treatment after being initially treated at Maalhos Health Centre.
Police are now investigating the incident. There has been no word or response from the health centre or council of Maalhos.
