President establishes Citizens' Complaints Bureau

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has today established the Citizens' Complaints Bureau.
The Bureau has been set up within the President's Office to provide 24-hour service for citizens to submit their concerns and grievances. The President announced the decision to establish this bureau during the Presidential Address to the People's Majlis on 5 February this year.
The Bureau's operations are set to commence mid-year, with the President's Office currently undertaking the necessary administrative arrangements and recruitment processes.
Central to the Bureau's role is the systematic processing of public grievances through a digital framework, ensuring that complaints received through various channels are efficiently tracked and addressed. This includes coordinating with relevant Government agencies to gather necessary information and respond to complaints. As part of its services, the Bureau will also establish a 24-hour call centre.
