Bank of Maldives (BML), on Sunday, donated MVR 150,000 to the Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM), in support of its annual breast cancer awareness campaign 'Pink Ribbon Run-Walk 2020'.
The contributions were handed over during a special ceremony held at BML's Head Office, by CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSM decided to host the 2020 leg of the campaign virtually, opting for an eight-day long run, beginning on October 23 and ending on October 31, where roughly 700 participants uploaded their runs to the CSM platform.

Without distance requirements as part of the event, CSM opted to disseminate medal of recognition to the 10 individuals that covered the most distance. Some of the participants accumulated over 200 kilometres of running during the event period.
