Police had responded to the claims of the former President and the opposition leader Mohamed Nasheed presented during the remand hearing held at Criminal Court on Monday.
President Nasheed told the chief judge that his arms were fractured during the ‘forcefully pushing him into the court’، however these allegations were denied by the Police.
During a press briefing held earlier tonight، Police told media that President Nasheed was not harmed، although some are accusing that Nasheed was harmed، that his arms and fingers were fractured،
Furthermore، Police said their medical officers checked Nasheed for any injuries.
In addition، Police had informed they are currently analyzing the video footage of Nasheed arriving to the court today، and if any officers intentionally harmed or forced Nasheed into the court، necessary steps will be taken.
