The famous entertainment، social networking service and news website Reddit has listed Male’، the capital of Maldives at the second place among sixteen most disappointing places to visit on Earth list they have published recently.
Male’ was listed at the second on the list which was publicized by Reddit based on several discussions conducted by the website. With a PG-Rated comment not suitable during a dinner-talk، the ‘commenter’ mentioned the rest of the Maldives being incredible، whilst Male’ is known for being crowded.
Male’، the capital Maldives is one of the highest among the list of cities with population per area. While Male’ has a circumference of 5.7km، over 150،000 residents live there. Given the centralization and availability of services، citizens around the country traveled and settled down in Male’ to ‘live their lives’، not without adding، in neck-deep-suffocation and constant-cries-for-open-spaces.
Going through the list published by Reddit، the dreaded number one went to Casablanca، or Dar-el-Bida of Morocco – again with a-bit-dramatically-heartbreaking comments for those who love to visit there for their big-league، gold-digging business trips.
Male’ on number two was followed by Jamaica on third. and the Great Pyramids of Cairo، Egypt on fourth. The list was as follows.
The list fixated on places which are technically crowded and for a lack of a better word، a life-size dumpster. However، few of the places aforementioned are indeed tourist destinations and listed among “my dream destinations” of several Maldivians.
Reddit users never failed to tarnish the fame of the places، but were all true in reference with several other reports and comments on the internet.
While Male’ being very crowded and to-a-high-point-of-less-appealing، the rest of the Maldives is a top hit amongst the most beautiful tourist destinations around the world. The rich-marine-life reefs، the long-crystal-white-sandy beaches، the green-filled-dots-of-islands scattered within 19 atolls make Maldives the “Strands of Pearl” in Indian Ocean – the most favourable tourist destination for rich holiday lovers and not to mention، several celebrities.
