Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has announced that China’s Exim Bank will provide additional assistance to the Maldives as required.
He made the statement speaking to press after official discussions with Chinese government officials on his ongoing trip to China.
Highlighting his discussions with Exim Bank’s Vice President. Minister Saeed said that they had discussions on areas additional assistance was required.
Minister Saeed had also met China’s Assistant Foreign Minister and discussed ways to further develop the ties between the two countries, especially on the economic front.
China has become a close partner in economic affairs of the country, donating millions as grant aid projects.
