The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Maldives, His Excellency Kong Xianhua, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the enduring diplomatic ties between the Maldives and China, founded on close friendship, mutual respect, goodwill, and continued development cooperation.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were officially established on October 14, 1972.
