President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that ‘it is good news to hear’ as Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor has revealed that the Chinese Government has agreed to provide the loan for the construction of Malé-Hulhumalé Bridge and the development project of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor has revealed that the Chinese Government has agreed to provide the loan for the bridge construction and airport development، on a Viber group of PPM’s parliamentary group members.
VP said on the group that، as requested by President Abdulla Yameen، the president and vice president of China have assured to provide the financial assistance to the Maldives’ government for the projects.
Adeeb further congratulated the president، cabinet and the team، and said the projects will soon commence.
For VP’s remarks، President Abdulla Yameen replied saying that ‘he has given good news’.
Following the news، the parliamentary group members in the Viber Group، has congratulated the vice president.
Vice President Ahmed Adeeb is in China on an official visit. He has met with his Chinese counterpart Mr. Li and the Chinese President Xi Jinping.
