A speeding police vehicle going from Gan to Fonadhoo in Laamu Atoll has been involved in a rollover accident, leaving one police officer injured.
The accident took place on the causeway between Maandhoo and Kahdhoo this afternoon.
Two officers, one male and one female, were on-board the vehicle at the time of the accident. The female officer is being treated at Laamu Gan Regional Hospital.
Head of Gan Regional Hospital Mohamed Samad said that the officer had suffered only minor injuries.
Police have not given any details yet; a police media official said that this incident had been reported, and that details will be revealed later.
