Bank of Maldives staff organizes a blood donating camp in commemoration of World Blood Donors Day.
The bank reports its staff and their family members from Male’, Kulhudhuffushi City and Manadhoo joined together in the blood donation camp.
Meanwhile, BML announced to host blood donation camps for staff on a quarterly basis to meet the demand of “blood for transfusions required by Thalassaemia patients.”
Moreover, BML has partnered up with Maldives Blood Service for the effort in organizing the camp in Male’.
Furthermore, donation camps in atolls were carried out in partnership with their respective atoll and regional hospitals.
BML reports that the camp will continue for two days with more than 70 of the bank’s staff members already registered up to donate blood.
Additionally, the bank has also organized a special session in association with Maldives Blood Service to educate staff “about the importance of blood donation and talk about the common questions and myths with regard to blood donation.”
