ADK begins measures to bring services to international standards

ADK Hospital has begun measures to bring their services to international standards.
ADK Hospitals Managing Director Ahmed Afaal said that they currently followed international best practices in their services, noting that this has not been communicated to the public.
He said that public sought medical treatments from abroad as they were not sure of the quality of healthcare stressing that this must be addressed to bring in benefits to the public and country.
ADK Hospitals yesterday had signed an MoU with India’s Qualitech Medicare for this. Under the MoU, India’s Board of Accreditation for Hospitals and Healthcare (NABH) will review the services of the hospital. The institute is an accreditation center, monitoring quality for other countries and organizations.
The institute is a reputed and trusted institute in India, adhering to high standards. NABH had on many occasions rescinded the accreditation given to various hospitals. Their accreditation has to be renewed every year.
ADK had begun the process three months back. The accreditation will be received within six months, during which the institute will review the standards at ADK.
Health Ministry’s Quality Assurance Department is yet unable to issue accreditation of this level. ADK will become the first local institute if the Hospital is successful.
