Ms. Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has sent a message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, following the tragic news of the school dormitory fire at Pithakkiart Witthaya School in Chiang Rai.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
It was with deep shock that I learnt of the tragic news of the school dormitory fire at Pithakkiart Witthaya School in Chiang Rai, causing loss of lives and injury to many.
At this time of national distress, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, I would like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to your Excellency, the Government, the people of Thailand and the members of the bereaved families.
