Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel concluded his visit to Brussels, Belgium on Saturday.
Minister Dr Khaleel, during the visit participated at the 4th European Union Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, held in Brussels from 20 to 21 November.
In addition to attending the Forum, the Minister held official engagements with senior officials from several friendly countries, strengthening diplomatic ties and promoting cooperation on key regional and global issues.
During his visit, Minister Dr Khaleel also represented the Maldives at high-level events on the sidelines of the Forum. He visited the Embassy of the Maldives in Belgium and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining close connections with its citizens abroad and provide quality services.
Minister Dr Khaleel was accompanied during the visit by Ambassador of Maldives to the Belgium and Head of Mission to the European Union, Geela Ali, Secretary, Multilateral, Ahmed Shiaan and Political Director Fathimath Nasha Ismail.
