His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and His Excellency Anura Kumara Disanayaka, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, have witnessed the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the Maldives and Sri Lanka at a ceremony held today at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
During the ceremony, seven MoUs were exchanged to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The MoUs cover areas including youth development, archiving cooperation, tourism, prevention of violent extremism, academic cooperation in the defence and health sectors, and the training and professional development of school teachers.
President Dr Muizzu is currently on a State Visit to Sri Lanka at the invitation of President Disanayaka.
