The National Awards Committee has announced that nominations for the 2026 National Award for Public Service will officially open on 6 May, inviting citizens to submit candidates who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to public service throughout their careers.
The complete award criteria will be published in the official Government Gazette, providing comprehensive guidelines for potential nominators across government institutions, ministries, and public agencies throughout the Maldives.
Qualified candidates must have served the Maldivian state for more than 35 years while consistently demonstrating unwavering commitment to their duties and making substantial contributions to the advancement and modernisation of their respective institutions.
The nomination window will remain open until 11 June, and all submissions will be accepted exclusively through the President's Office formal submission portal, streamlining the process and ensuring proper documentation of each nomination.
