Islamic Minister Expresses Gratitude to Saudia for Continued Support to Maldivian Pilgrims

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has expressed deep gratitude to Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s National Airline, for continued support to Maldivian pilgrims.
The Minister on Monday met with senior officials of Saudia as part of his ongoing visit to the Kingdom. During the meeting, the Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the senior management of Saudia for their continued cooperation and excellent services provided to Maldivian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
The Minister emphasised that the operation of direct flights between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives brings great ease and convenience to Maldivian citizens, particularly those undertaking Hajj and Umrah journeys. He further conveyed the Maldivian government’s deep appreciation for Saudia’s commitment to prioritising the transport of Maldivian pilgrims during every Hajj season.
Senior officials from the Maldivian national carrier, Maldivian, also took part in the meeting.
As part of his official visit to Saudi Arabia, the Minister also met with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and signed an agreement on Hajj services between the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
