President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed on a three-day, six-island visit to Lhaviyani Atoll.
As part of the trip, President Solih will be making stops in Madivaru, Hinnavaru, Felivaru, Naifaru, Olhuvelifushi, and Kurendhoo. During the visit, the president would meet with community leaders, including members of the atoll council, local councils, women’s development committees, and management and staff of public offices and residents of the respective islands. He would also assess the progress of developmental projects underway in the islands and officially inaugurate the newly developed airport in Madivaru.
The president is accompanied on the trip by a high-level delegation from the government. He is scheduled to conclude the trip and return to Male’ on February 20.
