The incumbent government is not set out to please the island councils، but to serve the citizens and for their benefits، said Minister of Housing & Infrastructure، Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Speaking at the launching ceremony of Faafu atoll Magoodhoo harbour project، Minister Muizzu said the Government had undertaken many development projects and the aim is to move forward with the ventures without looking back.
“Numerous projects are being undertaken from North to South. We have commenced major projects in the manifesto within one and a half years since the Government came in power. With God’s will، we will remain firm and move forward،” Muizzu said.
Minister further noted that it is natural for those who cooperate and work together to achieve bigger things.
“The Government will continue moving forward without any discrimination. However، it will be easier with everyone’s cooperation،” Muizzu said.
In addition، Housing Minister Muizzu noted that the island council of Faafu atoll Bileddhoo refused to meet with the government delegation. “The Government is not set out to serve the councils، but to serve the people،” Muizzu added.
