The People’s Majlis has passed to motion to appoint Mohamed Fahmy Hassan، former president of Civil Service Commission (CSC)، as the new Maldivian High Commissioner to Malaysia.
The Majlis passed the motion with 41 votes، 13 against، during the sitting held today.
President Abdulla Yamin presented the name of Fahumee for consideration after the former High Commissioner، Mohamed Fayaz (F.A.) resigned from the position on 27 May.
Fahumee is already in the position of Deputy to the Maldivian Ambassador to Malaysia.
He was sacked as the president of CSC on allegations that he had sexually abused a female staff of the commission.
