A video publicized by British media shows Nasheed having fun at a party in the UK. Nasheed was sent to UK for medical treatment while he was serving jail time.
The video was taken during a staff party at the Hay Festival held in Wales. Video shows Nasheed taking part in a chair race. Nasheed took part in the race after delivering a speech at the festival on the Arab Spring. People criticized Nasheed heavily on social media after the video was published. Because apparently Nasheed has serious backbone problems and this video is proof that he does not have any such problems.
Nasheed left Maldives for medical treatment but have since attained political refugee status from UK.
