Bank of Maldives (BML) has started giving out services of Internet Banking and Mobile Banking to blind persons yesterday.
BML informs that with the introduction of this new service، blind persons can directly access all services of the bank through Innternet Banking and Mobile Banking without having to go to the branches of the bank.
“BML has made a number of investments to better the quality of services given and to provide services of the bank to different regions of Maldives. It is of great pleasure to us that an important group of people in our community are getting the services of Internet Banking and Mobile Banking. Now they can access services of the bank from anywhere، at anytime of the day”، said the Retail Banking Director of BML، Mr. Mohamed Shareef in relation to the service introduced for blind persons yesterday.
While BML informs that the services of Internet and Mobile Bankings are given to blind persons through a signed MoU between the person، the guardian and the bank، BML has been issuing debit cards to blind persons through such an agreement since last year.
