The attack on president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom، during the presidential speedboat blast on 28 September 2015، was an attack to obstruct the development ventures in the Maldives، said Kelaa MP Ali Arif.
Speaking on “Raajje Miadhu” programme of TVM، Ali Arif said the the attack was to destroy the future of the country، and to obstruct the government and the president Abdulla Yameen’s efforts in ending economical barricades.
He also alleged the opposition political parties and individuals maybe behind the attack.
Furthermore، he noted that several developments have come to an effect since the incumbent was elected. “[..] health sector also received numerous developments. 181 out of 194 inhabited islands have pharmacies built by the collaboration of the government and STO،” Arif said.
Speaking on the programme، Health Minister Iruthisham Adam said the incident did not affect the development ventures of the health sector.
