All seven properties of Marriott International in the Maldives have signed a memorandum of understanding with Maldives National University (MNU).
Moreover, the MoU attests on the strengthening ties between the university’s Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies (FHTS) and the tourism industry towards human capacity development efforts.
Speaking about the collaboration, Rivero Delgado the AreaVice President for Singapore, Malaysia and the Maldives of Marriott International said, “we are honored to collaborate with the Maldives National University and be a part of the journey as the students begin and grow their careers in the thriving hospitality industry in the Maldives.”
Moreover, Mr. Delgado affirmed the hotelier group’s commitment towards endorsing future generation of hoteliers and tourism industry enthusiasts through learning initiatives.
“This collaboration is set to play a pivotal role in strategically expanding our talent pool, where we look forward to making a difference in the areas where we operate,” Mr. Delgado commented further.
Furthermore, the MoU facilitates capacity development of students and staff of both establishments towards knowledge exchange, internships as well as collaborative technical expertise between the parties.
