Technology Minister Urges Continuous Training for Law Enforcement

Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Minister Ali Ihusan has emphasised the importance of conducting regular refresher training programmes for law enforcement agencies to ensure law enforcement personnel are up to date with evolving technologies and skills. The Minister made the statement while speaking at the closing ceremony of a training course held for the employees of Maldives Immigration.
The eight-hour training programme, titled ‘Executive Leadership Training, was attended by executive-level employees of Maldives Immigration.
Speaking at the programme’s closing ceremony, Minister Ihusan noted that times are changing and the world is becoming more technologically advanced. Therefore, law enforcement agencies must adapt accordingly, he said, warning that if employees are unable to keep up with new technologies in a sustainable manner, they risk falling behind in their ability to perform effectively. The Minister reiterated that refresher training programmes for law enforcement agencies must be held continuously.
