President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the “Eid Haveeru 1446” celebrations organised by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
Accompanied by his family, the President participated in the event, which took place across Sultan Park, Republic Square, and the Islamic Centre area. Upon arrival, he was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the public gathering, after which the First Family explored stalls set up by various companies.
The President then joined children at the Izzuddin Jetty to cut the cake specially prepared for the occasion.
President Dr Muizzu places great importance on facilitating Muslim celebrations as part of the Government’s initiatives. He also believes that commemorating Islamic occasions such as Eid fosters a love for Islam among children and enhances their understanding of the religion.
