Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is showcasing the Maldives at the first travel exhibition of the year, FITUR 2026, held from 21 January to 25 January, in Madrid, Spain. 
FITUR is an international tourism trade fair that brings together travel agencies, wholesalers, tour operators, hotels and accommodation providers, airlines, leisure and cultural experience providers, tourism infrastructure development companies, Spain’s official tourism bodies and travel media. More than 50,000 business leaders and industry professionals are taking part in this year’s event.
According to VMC, the fair offers significant business opportunities, attracting tourism buyers, influencers and key market stakeholders from around the world. Spain, where the FITUR fair is held, is also an important source market for Maldivian tourism.
Along with VMC, 22 tourism operators from the Maldives are participating in the fair.
