The United Kingdom's Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Mark Field met with President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Minister Field's first trip to Maldives was to congratulate the opposition coalition Solih for his win in the Presidential Elections.
During the meeting held in President-Elect's office, both parties discussed how to strengthen the relationship between the countries.
UK ambassador for Maldives James Dauris also took part in this meeting.

Dauris and Minister Field will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamed Asim, leading members of the political field and some of the institutions during this trip.
