His Excellency President Mohamed Muizzu has sent a message of condolence to His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, following a tragic gas explosion at the Liushenyu Coal Mine in Shanxi Province.
In his message, President Dr Muizzu expressed deep sadness over the incident, which resulted in the loss of many lives and left many others injured.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, the President extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to the government and people of China.
He further conveyed that the Maldives stands in solidarity with China during this time of grief, wishing strength and resilience to all those affected and success in the ongoing rescue efforts.
