MNACI celebrates industry excellence at Builders Awards 2025

The Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) held the second MNACI Builders Awards on Thursday, honouring outstanding companies and individuals who have played a key role in advancing the country’s construction industry.
The ceremony, hosted at Hotel JEN in Malé, brought together construction professionals, senior industry figures and key stakeholders. Building on the inaugural awards held in 2023, the event reflects MNACI’s continued focus on raising professional standards and recognising long-term contributions to the sector.
A total of 19 awards were presented across multiple categories, covering major contractors, professional firms, specialised service providers and individual achievements. The programme included remarks by Chief Judge Abdulla Ziyad, who highlighted the importance of excellence and integrity in shaping the industry’s future.
Rainbow Pvt Ltd emerged as a leading winner, receiving both Contractor of the Year and Real Estate Contractor of the Year. Alia Construction was named Resort Contractor of the Year, while UCC Holdings received the Foreign Contractor of the Year award. In the professional firms category, Inside Plus won Architectural and Design Firm of the Year, Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM) was recognised as Project Management Firm of the Year, and Leo Trading Pvt Ltd received Logistics and Transport Firm of the Year.
Individual awards were also a key feature of the night. The Outstanding Woman Leader in Construction Award 2025 was presented to Thazeen Shareef, Co-Founder and Design Director of Inside Plus, while the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 went to Abdul Majeed, Managing Director and CEO of Bison Groups.
The ceremony also included the MNACI President’s Special Awards, recognising long-standing service to the industry. Platinum Awards for more than 20 years of service were awarded to Alau Ali, Adnan Haleem, Ibrahim Muthalib and Saudulla Hilmy. Mohamed Saeed received the Gold Award for over 15 years of service, while Hassan Habeeb, Ameen Mohamed and Abdulla Salih were honoured with Silver Awards for more than a decade of contribution.
MNACI said the awards are part of its broader effort to strengthen industry standards and support sustainable growth in the construction sector. The event was supported by Hotels and Resorts Investments as the exclusive platinum sponsor, Ooredoo Business as the official digital partner, and Print Lab Creative as the gold partner.
