The Criminal Court on Wednesday found former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, and Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Judge Ali Hameed of the Supreme Court, guilty of obstructing justice and sentenced them to a year, seven months and six days in jail.
The verdict also stated that the trio's license to practise law, and permit to give religious counselling have been revoked.
