High Court case to add constituencies to Addu, dismissed

The High Court of the Maldives has dismissed a case over adding constituencies to the southernmost Addu City.
This was decided on Thursday by presiding judges Shujau Usman, Mohamed Faisal, and Ali Sameer.
The case was submitted by former attorney general Husnu Suood, and the Elections Commission has intervened as well.
The commission had earlier rejected a petition and request to separate two districts in Addu currently represented as a single constituency.
