Minister of Defense and National Security Adam Shareef has stated that there was no concern of terrorism to the Maldives.
Speaking to press in Coast Guard, Minister Adam Shareef said even though various acts of terrorism were perpetrated across the globe, but he had not received any information that any of those acts were aimed at the Maldives. He assured that in spite of this, the safety and security of the nation will be of the utmost importance.
The Minister stressed that all possible measures will be enacted for the safety of the nation.
Minister Adam Shareef said the 1988 attacks and the attack on the Presidential speedboat were terror attacks, adding the two attacks were undertaken as coup attempts.
