Maldives National University (MNU) Deputy Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef has said that the University had faced many challengesin fulfilling the mandate of the University to facilitate education catering to the educational needs of all students.
He made the statement speaking in the graduation ceremony of MNU heldlast night in Dharubaaruge.
Speaking in the ceremony, Dr. Fawaz said that the biggest challenges were ensuring easy access to courses and maintaining the quality levels of all courses.
He noted that 1462 students had graduated yesterday morning and lastnight, adding that so far 50000 students had graduated from the University. One out of every seven Maldivians had attained their education from the University.
Dr. Fawaz appealed graduates to reflect on their role in national development and to serve the nation, especially on freelance basis.
