The Maldives led investment forum’s second session will be held in China this year، says Minister of Economic Development، Mohamed Saeed.
Speaking to the Public Service Meda (PSM)، Minister Saeed stated that the purpose of the forum to be held in Shanghai، China this year، is to assure the investors that the Government fully welcomes their investments.
Furthermore، the investors will be assured their protection and the investment opportunities granted by the Laws، Minister Saeed said.
In addition، Minister said that the local businesses and state-shareholding companies will be opened for foreign investments to further broaden the business scope of the entities during the forum.
While five major projects were launched during the first forum held in Singapore، several foreign entities were interested in investing.
Meanwhile، President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom had previously stated that investment symposiums will be held in Hong Kong and Dubai.
