First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed has attended the opening ceremony of the ‘Ufakaara’ training program, today. This programme teaches food vendors and producers how to improve food quality and ensure food safety.
This edition of the training programme is a collaboration between Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) and Fuvahmulah City Council.
The training, which will be carried out through May 17, will see 86 individuals active in the food manufacturing sector, trained in safe food preparation and manufacturing in addition to quality enhancement. Additionally, trainees will become acquainted with relevant standards and regulations.
Since its inception in 2017, the First Lady, has been participating and sharing her expertise in the ‘Ufakaara’ training programmes.
