The national airline, Maldivian has decided to introduce a ticket class called Premium Economy for domestic flights.
According to the airline, Premium Economy services will be launched on April 13 on domestic flights.
Premium economy tickets are more expensive than economy class tickets, but offer additional service. While economy class offers a 20kg baggage allowance, premium economy offers a 25kg baggage allowance. Additionally, the departure date can be changed once at no additional charge.
Airport facilities under the premium economy ticket include priority check-in and boarding and lounge services at Male’, Dharavandhoo and Ifuru airports. In addition, special seats will be arranged for premium economy passengers and they will also receive upgraded food and drink on the flight.
