Financial aid reaches over 14,900 disabled individuals in February

Over 14,900 people with disabilities received financial assistance in February from the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).
According to statistics released by NSPA, 14,993 people with disabilities received financial assistance in February 2026, an increase of 993 people compared to December 2025, when 14,000 beneficiaries received assistance.
NSPA said the total number of registered persons with disabilities is 15,280, including 62 new registrations recorded. Total assistance spending reached approximately USD 3.5 million.
Additionally, 706 people received financial assistance to buy food items under food assistance support, with six new beneficiaries added. Total spending in this sector was around USD 1690.
Under support for children in care without parental assistance, financial assistance was provided to 101 caregivers and 137 children. One new case was also registered, while total disbursement reached USD 12,160.
The government said it prioritises social protection, equal opportunity, and dignity and security for vulnerable groups.
