President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Rifath Abdulla as a member of the Elections Commission.
Uz Rifath Abdulla took the oath of office and signed the declaration of membership at a ceremony held today at the President’s Office. The oath was administered by Justice Uz Mohamed Saleem of the Supreme Court of the Maldives. Following the administration of the oath, President Dr Muizzu formally presented the letter of appointment.
The appointment was made in accordance with Article 167(a) and Article 168(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives, and Article 4(a) of Law No. 8/2008 (Elections Commission Act).
