Chinese Embassy on Sunday handed over 500،000 Rufiya medical equipment and 20،000 Dollars medical grant to Maldives Health Ministry
The health equipment donated by Chinese Government includes، Incubator، NST Machine، Oxygen Concentrator، Cardiac Monitor، Ventilator، Infusion Warmer and machines as such.
Lu Kang، Head of Missions of Chinese Embassy and the Acting Minister of Health Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim signed the documents during a hand-over ceremony.

Minister Nazim said the 20،000 Dollar donation will aid in developing Addu City Hithadhoo Regional Hospital in to a tertiary hospital، during his speech in the signing ceremony. Also، the donations will help the Ministry and STO، to get the equipment and machinery needed for the hospitals، he said.
In the ceremony، Counselor Lu Kang said that there are more supports and donations from the Chinese Government to Maldives، and that a meeting will be held in next month with Minister Nazim to discuss the aids needed to improve the health sector. He further said they will discuss on ways of strengthening the ties between the two countries.
