Sheikh Imran calls for the release of former Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim

Adaalath Party’s President Imran Abdullah has openly called out for the release of former Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim.
He called out for Nazim’s release over his official Twitter account.

Imran’s tweet called out to uphold and practice equality of humans rights granted to each and every person، and in order to maintain a proper said equality، Mohamed Nazim must be released.
Adaalath’s President Imran had always been a strong advocate against Nazim’s arrest and called out for his release stating that Nazim is being treated indifferently and he is always against such indifference.
Imran also had stated that he does not believe the former Defence Minister will carry out an act of terror or murder in order to attain power. He also stated that government-led PPM also consists of members who also second Imran’s belief regarding Nazim’s innocence.
Nazim’s arrest came under allegations of conspiring against government for a possible coup d’etat and for acts of terrorism for possessing illegal fire arms and explosive devices. Authorities raided his residence on January 18th during midnight، following which Police had arrested him on February 10th for the allegation charges made on him.
While he has been arrested and Court had assigned a 15 day detention for Nazim، his advocate team had appealed to High Court over the house detention، to which the court had denied to rule out Criminal Court’s sentence.
Meanwhile، Nazim’s advocate team is currently trying to appeal his case to Supreme Court.
