Minister of the President’s Office, Mohamed Hussein Shareef has said that Maldives will get more assistance from China.
Speaking to the press at the President’s Office yesterday, Mohamed Hussein Shareef said that the China will provide more assistance to Maldives in addition to the projects currently ongoing with their assistance.
Mohamed Hussein Shareef said that China will assist Maldives in developing people in addition to the loan assistance.
He noted that three large investment banks of China have showed interest in working with Maldives. He said that it is hoped that they will be establishing their investment in Maldives soon.
Furthermore, Mohamed Hussein Shareef said that Maldives is the hottest destination for Chinese touritsts.
“Maldives is the number one market of China. This trend will hopefully continue,” he said.
The minister also stated that the government is hopeful that China will be providing more assistance for the Hulhumale’ bridge project.
