Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy Vessel Chang Xing Dao’s Mission Commanding Officer Senior Captain Dong Zeng has paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Defence and National Security Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim.
MNDF has informed that the official meeting held at MNDF on Wednesday، Minister of Defence Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim has extended gratitude to the Government and the Navy of China for providing humanitarian assistance during the water crisis in Male’.
Minister Nazim also highlighted the hard work by the officers and sailors of Chang Xin Dao to provide water assistance to the residents of Male’ and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to them.
MNDF further informed that Minister Nazim and Mission Commanding Officer Zeng have discussed on further ways to strengthen the political and military ties between Maldives and China.
In addition، MNDF informed that the Mission Commanding Officer Senior Captain Dong Zeng also paid a courtesy visit to Chief of Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam on Wednesday.
Reportedly the Chinese Navy Vessel Chang Xing Dao will be berthed at Male’ port harbor to provide water assistance to alleviate the residents of Male’ until the water crisis is solved.
