Prince Dr Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of State and Cabinet Member of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has departed the Maldives after concluding his official visit to attend the celebrations commemorating the 61st Anniversary of the Independence of the Maldives.
Prince Dr Mansour attended the celebrations as the Guest of Honour on behalf of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the invitation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
During the visit, Prince Dr Mansour paid a courtesy call on President Dr Muizzu at the President's Office, where they discussed further strengthening the longstanding bilateral and brotherly ties between the two nations. President Dr Muizzu also hosted a luncheon in honour of Dr Mansour, reaffirming the close friendship and strong bilateral relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
The visit concluded with Prince Dr Mansour attending the official Independence Day celebrations at Republic Square as the Guest of Honour.
Prince Dr Mansour was seen off at Velana International Airport by Iruthisham Adam, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mohamed Naseer, Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations.
