Ahmed Shakeeb has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM).
Shakeeb’s appointment was confirmed by the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on 10 December 2025.
The Managing Director position was vacated after Ibrahim Nasreen’s resignation. Before his appointment as the Managing Director, Shakeeb has had an illustrious career spanning 35 years, contributing significantly to the media and educational landscape of the Maldives.
During his distinguished career, Shakeeb has also served PSM as a Presenter for several of it’s programmes.
