Maldivian pilgrim dies after suffering heart attack during Umrah pilgrimage

A Maldivian pilgrim in Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage has died after suffering from a heart attack while engaged in worship last night.
The pilgrim who traveled with Al-Manasik group has been identified as 60-year-old Mohamed Imthiyaz, M. Sakkeyomaage, Male’.
According to the group, Imthiyaz passed away after suffering a heart attack while walking between Sara and Marwa. The group added that he had not been sick at the time of his death. 
Imthiyaz’s funeral was held at the Masjid al-Haram after Fajr prayer (Saudi time) on Thursday.
Maldivians who have traveled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage have previously been reported dead as well.
Islamic Ministry has previously stated that 7,726 Maldivians will travel to Umrah during the school long holidays.
