Acting Minister of Health, Colonel (retired) Mohamed Nazim has said that the government will facilitate all hospitals with all the necessary equipments within two months time.
Minister Nazim gave this assurance speaking at the inauguration of the training program held on hospital management.
Minister Nazim said that the ministry has sought the issues faced by hospitals and have listed all the necessary equipment that the hospitals are in need of.
He said that managers will be assigned for hospitals and the responsibilities of finding the right and required materials and equipments for hospitals will be upon the managers.
Minister Nazim also spoke on the importance of treating well foreign health professionals. He said that they should be treated with compassion and kindness from the time of their arrival up and throughout their stay in Maldives.
In addition to this, the Minister said that everything will now be supplied to hospitals via the State Trading Organization (STO) Plc. He said that the purchase order should be sent to the STO and STO will supply them.
